The village is a pedestrian-only community offering a relaxed atmosphere.  In 1997, Intrawest purchased Copper Mountain and began a $500 million expansion plan.  The New Village offers something for everyone.  Copper Mountain offers many ski in and ski out vacation properties.

Copper Mountain, located on the western edge of Summit County, offers top notch skiing and with 2,450 acres, it is Summit County's largest ski area.  The natural mountain terrain divides the skiers and snowboarders by ability levels adding to the enjoyment of all.
