An historic crossroads for the overland stage and railroads during mining days, and on the western shore of Lake Dillon, you will find a blend of old and new.  Frisco is the heart of Summit County and is central to Copper Mountain, Keystone and Breckenridge ski areas. 

The outdoor recreational opportunities are endless.  In winter you will find over 30 miles of trails at the Frisco Nordic Center where you can cross country ski or snowshoe.  Or if you want to relax try a sleigh ride.  Nearby on Lake Dillon try your hand at kite skiing, gliding across the ice.  Come summer, head down to the Frisco Marina and test the winds on a sailboat, bike the paved paths heading in three different directions or relax at one of the beautiful parks and enjoy the specatcular views.  No matter the season, join in the street events such as the Art Affaire,  one of the Music Festivals,  the BBQ competition, The Fantastic Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks the Frisco Gold Rush or Vettes on the Rockies.

Chat with one of the friendly citizens as you visit  the quaint shops.  But, don't forget to stop by the Frisco Historic Park for a taste of the county's history.  And a new addition to the county is the state of the art health care facility.
